Regular updates on the club horses to be sent by email to ensure all members receive the information at the same time.

A minimum of two stable visits for all members during the initial period will be hosted by Ian Williams and his team.

The club will receive 50% of any prize money won during the initial period and this will be distributed equally to all members at the end of the initial period.

IAN WILLIAMS

The National Hunt Season ended on 24th April and Ian finished the season in 19th position in the Jump Trainers Championship with 35 winners and over £350,000 in Win and Place Prize Money. The strike rate of 20% was only bettered by Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson in the Top 20. Unfortunately Weird Al missed the Cheltenham Festival due to injury, but will be back as good as ever later this year and Wayward Prince crowned a fantastic year for the Dominion Stables team with his victory at the Aintree Festival.

On the flat, the team remain in sparkling form, the victory of Il Forno at Yarmouth under champion jockey Ryan Moore was winner number 21 for the season but more importantly maintained a strike rate on the flat of 20%. Ian will hope to maintain his great record at the Chester May Festival meeting before focusing on the first Worcester meeting of the season.

CLUB HORSE

"IMMENSE has been entered at Worcester in The Winterfold House School, Conditional Jockeys' Novices' Handicap Hurdle race over 2 miles 4 furlongs at 2:10 on the 30th June.

" Immense made his eagerly awaited debut for the club at Worcester on Ladies Day. There were 2 options for the horse over the weekend & Ian decided to run in the 3 mile Novices Handicap Hurdle which was the first race on Saturday's card. Trevor Whelan was on board & whilst the ground was quicker than the the horse had experienced previously Ian was confident he would be competitive & be in the frame.

Because of the stable form Ian's horses are invariably well backed & Immense was backed into 7/2 favourite. It was quickly apparent that Immense was not enjoying the quicker ground & whilst he battled on to finish 5th he was never in a challenging position Trevor confirmed the horse was not comfortable on the ground & we learnt that future runs will be on softer ground.Ironically had we waited until Sunday the ground would have been perfect after the heavy rain on the day. No entries at the moment but the horse was fine after the race & Ian is very confident he will win for the club this season. A number of members were in attendance & watched the race from the Winning Connections room with a glass of Champagne.

Ian is now looking at further opportunities to run at Worcester providing the ground is on the easy side. Ian is also sourcing a fast ground horse to add to the club. Night Cruise has also now left the yard & a good home has been found for him as a riding horse with Ferdy Murphy's head girl in the north.

In other news the stable continues in good form Hilfiger won over hurdles at Stratford on Sunday. The Flat horses continue to run well Princess Lexi won at Brighton & Cotillion ran a great race at Haydock giving a Mick Channon Odds on Favourite a real fright. The stables strike race is 18% over both codes this season."
