Previewing Friday the 5th of September’s racing action from Worcester is the legendary Derek ‘Tommo’ Thompson, courtesy of our friends at Freebets.com the home of the best betting sites.
There's some good jumping at Worcester on Friday. And in the six o' clock race, the two-mile mares maiden hurdle, the one I like is number five, Jammy Jay. This horse was a very promising second at the track last time out in a 15-runner race and should go one better.
The interestingly named Garde My Guinness has been knocking at the door and could be a topical tip for quite a few people. But Jammy Jay should win the six o' clock.
In the 6:30, the two-and-a-half-mile handicap hurdle. I like number three, Sixty Plus. Now I'm not saying that because my age is 60+, but this horse is onto the four timer. This horse has won his last three, two of them at Worcester.
And jockey Sam Twiston-Davies is having a strike rate at the moment of 43% which is very hot. The horse has been put up eleven pounds, but I think this horse can win. Tamarind Bay, who was second at the track last time out, looks a danger.
Onto the seven o', clock, the two-mile seven handicap hurdle, the horse I like is number one, Just Chasing May. This horse is trained by Ben Pauling who's got a 50% strike rate and jockey Ben Jones who's got a 67% strike rate at the moment, when this horse is on the hat trick. He's won his last two races at Worcester, both very easily and because his last win was on Sunday at the track, he gets in here off the same mark. So, I think he'll take the beating.
The Flying Poet was a promising second at the track last time out and looks a danger but Just Chasing May should do the business.
