Arena Racing Company (ARC) can confirm that two upcoming fixtures scheduled to take place at Worcester Racecourse on Tuesday, 5th May and Tuesday, 12th May have been abandoned and will now be transferred to Hereford Racecourse to allow the track more time to recover and establish properly.

The following fixture transfers have been agreed:

  • Tuesday 5th May Jump Racing → Relocated to Hereford Racecourse
  • Tuesday 12th May Jump Racing → Relocated to Hereford Racecourse

Ticket Holder Information

Ticket holders and hospitality bookers for the affected Worcester fixtures will be contacted by the main booker email with information on available options.

Elizabeth Dennis, Clerk of the Course at Worcester, said:

'Unfortunately, there are still areas of the track that require further time to recover and establish properly. This is due to parts of the course still being under water a month ago, and although remedial works have now been completed, the recent cooler overnight temperatures have slowed down the rate of recovery, particularly in areas of new germination.

It’s frustrating for the team, and we understand the impact this has on all stakeholders, but ensuring the track is fully ready for racing remains our top priority.

In the meantime, we are very grateful to Hereford Racecourse for accommodating our first two fixtures, and we extend our thanks to all the team there.'
